This week’s artist are “The Smiles” which consist of John McGrath (vocals, guitar), Will Sturgeon (bass, vocals), Echo Edwards (drums, fish?), Brendan Kirlin (guitar). Some of their influences include The Strokes, The beach boys, Vampire Weekend and many more. You can hear the influences in their single “Cala Cola” which is free to download on their myspace page so feel free to visit and download. They just released their first EP “Hermosa” so go check it out and buy it if you like. IF you love California music then you will love The Smiles because you know what their music does make you smile :). Funny story I was searching for new music so I put smile music on myspace music search and the first thing I see is the link to their page. Well it really wasn’t the first thing I saw it was more of a link that led me to one band then to another band and then to “The Smiles”.
